A former employee of the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health has been arrested on allegations that she embezzled over $350,000 from the children’s health foundation during an eight-year period, according to a Wednesday press release from the office of Santa Clara County’s District Attorney.
Univ. offers protection after theft

Stanford has hired Kroll, a New York-based risk consulting company, to provide free identity theft protection for thousands of current and former employees affected by the theft of a University laptop, according to a letter to employees from Randy Livingston, Stanford’s CFO and vice president of business affairs.

Rising senior Jeremy Bleich led the Cardinal pitching staff deep into the postseason after returning from an injury that kept him sidelined for well over a month in late May. But Bleich and his teammates ran into a wall against Georgia. The Bulldogs defeated Stanford twice in Omaha, Neb., 4-3 and 10-8.
