University ready to celebrate 125th anniversary; endowment continues upward growth

Preparations are underway for the University’s 125th anniversary. Professor Scott Fendorf discovered that the arsenic in a Southern Californian groundwater basin was the result of water that was too highly purified. Stanford’s endowment grew by 3.6 percent last year. The endowment now stands at $22.2 billion. Columnist Winston Shi explores life as a senior and his Stanford experience.
