This report covers a selection of incidents from Feb. 3 to Feb. 8 as recorded in the Stanford Police Department Public Bulletin.
Police received reports of bike thefts during this period from the post office, the Gates Computer Science building, Stern Hall, Meyer Library, Toyon Hall and Memorial Auditorium. A number of medical emergencies also occurred. (They were by and large not related to the bike thefts.)
Wednesday, Feb. 3
Between 12 a.m. on Feb. 1 and 12 a.m. on this day, an unknown suspect(s) made unauthorized entry into Munger Bldg. 1 and stole chairs and a painting.
Between 8:45 p.m. on Feb. 2 and 7 p.m. on this day, outside of Lagunita Court, an unknown suspect broke the passenger’s side front window and stole an iPod and a charger from the vehicle.
Between 5:40 p.m. and 5:50 p.m., an unknown suspect stole two iPhones belonging to the victims, who had been playing basketball at the Arrillaga Recreation Center.
At 9:25 p.m., an injury, vehicle-vs.-bike collision occurred on the corner of Palm Drive and Museum Way. CHP arrived on scene and conducted an investigation.
Thursday, Feb. 4
The reporting party said that the suspect had been making harassing phone calls to her residence for the past month. The victim feared for her and her family’s safety.
In an incident that occurred on Feb. 2, but was reported on this day, an unknown suspect(s) stole the victim’s iPhone and credit card from his vehicle on the corner of Campus Drive and Galvez Street.
Between 11 p.m. on Feb. 2 and 12:15 p.m. on this day, an unknown suspect(s) smashed the window of the victim’s vehicle in the Lagunita Court parking lot and stole a GPS system.
At 12 a.m., a non-injury, hit-and-run collision occurred on the corner of Lomita Court and Museum Way.
At 1:30 p.m. at Ayershire Farm Lane on Campus Drive, the individual’s vehicle was towed for having seven outstanding parking citations. The prior six citations had only been satisfactory.
At 8:10 p.m., an injury, bike-vs.-fixed object collision occurred on the corner of Searsville Road and Governor’s Lane.
Friday, Feb. 5
Between 1 p.m. on Feb. 4 and 7:45 a.m. on this day, an unknown suspect(s) smashed the driver’s side window of the victim’s vehicle, which had been parked at Governor’s Corner.
Between 1 a.m. on Feb. 1 and 2 a.m. on this day, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s purse from a common area in the Kappa Sigma house and dumped it nearby. Most of the victim’s property was recovered.
At 1 p.m. at the Music Knoll, a vehicle with expired registration tabs was towed and stored.
Saturday, Feb. 6
At 12:25 a.m. at 675 Lomita Loop, a juvenile was cited and released for being a minor in possession of alcohol.
At 12:55 a.m. and again at 1:15 a.m. on Lomita Drive and Campus Drive, two individuals were cited and released for being minors in possession of alcohol.
Sunday, Feb. 7
At 12:40 a.m., two individuals were cited and released for creating a public nuisance by urinating in public outside of the Phi Sig house.
At 1:45 a.m. outside of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, the arrestee was transported to the main jail in San Jose and booked for public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance.
At 3:05 a.m. on the corner of Campus Drive and Arguello Way, the arrestee was transported to the main jail in San Jose and booked for public intoxication.
At 2:15 p.m. on the corner of Stanford Avenue and Raimundo Avenue, the individual was cited and released for driving unlicensed.
Between 10:30 p.m. on Feb. 6 and 1:45 a.m. on this day, an unknown suspect(s) broke the exterior rear view mirror on the victim’s parked vehicle on 1047 Campus Dr.
Between 11:15 p.m. on Feb. 6 and 12:30 a.m. on this day, an unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s dorm room at Chi Theta Chi through a window and stole a laptop computer.
Monday, Feb. 8
Between 2:20 p.m. on Feb. 5 and 2:10 p.m. on this day, an unknown suspect broke the driver’s side mirror on the victim’s vehicle, which had been parked at 680 Serra St.
At 8:15 a.m., a vehicle-vs.-pedestrian collision occurred at the Lower Emergency Room parking lot on Quarry Road. Of all the places to get hit by a car…
At 8 a.m., a non-injury, vehicle-vs.-vehicle collision occurred at the Facilities Operations Courtyard at Bonair Siding.
