Coupa Café to open spring break, owner says

March 10, 2010, 1:03 a.m.

Construction work on the Coupa Café kiosk between Green and Meyer libraries is set to be completed March 18, according to Kelly Rohlfs, a project manager for Stanford’s Department of Project Management. Coupa Café owner Jean Paul Coupal ’07 said he expects to open the coffee shop during spring break, pending the passage of final inspections next Thursday and Friday.

Coupal plans to hold a grand opening for the café when students return to campus, but no official date has been set.

The kiosk housed Moonbean’s Coffee until mid-2009, when Coupa won the lease from Stanford Libraries, which manages the space. The opening has been delayed on multiple occasions.
