Police Blotter

This report covers a selection of incidents from April 29 to May 5 as recorded in the Stanford Department of Public Safety bulletin.

During this time, four locked bikes were reported stolen from Sequoia Hall, Burbank Hall, Abrams Court and the Graduate School of Business. Four unlocked bikes were reported stolen from the east wing of Green Library, Escondido Village, Avery Aquatics Center and the bookstore.

April 29

4:30 p.m. at Campus Drive and the Clark Center, an injury vehicle-vs.-bike collision occurred.

Friday, April 30

A man reported that between 6 p.m. on April 14 and 12 p.m. on April 23, an unknown suspect stole his motorcycle helmet from his motorcycle, which was parked in the Wilbur parking structure.

At 10:05 a.m. at the Oval and Serra Mall, a non-injury, hit-and-run, vehicle-vs.-vehicle, hyphen-heavy collision occurred.

Saturday, May 1

A student became upset after arguing with an unknown male suspect at Muwekma-Tah-Ruk. The student left his residence at about 6 a.m., but called a friend later to assure the friend he was not missing.

At 7 p.m. at Lakeside Dining, a person caused damage to the dining hall wall and damaged decorations for a party hosted by Ujamaa. Charges were not pressed. It was, however, a little awkward.

Between 10:30 p.m. on April 30 and 9:30 a.m. on May 1 at 933 Valdez Pl., an unknown suspect smashed a vehicle window and stole a laptop and charger.

Sunday, May 2

At 1:38 a.m. at the Student Housing office at 565 Cowell Ln., an arrestee was transported to the San Jose main jail and booked for driving under the influence.

Tuesday, May 4

Someone reported that between April 3 and April 28, an unknown suspect made fraudulent charges on the debit card of the reporting party, who said the debit card was never out of his or her possession.

At 7:55 p.m. at Stanford Avenue and Raimundo Way, a person was cited and released for driving on a suspended license.

Wednesday, May 5

At 2 a.m. at Lane Hall, a student was cited and released for contributing to the delinquency of a minor by providing alcoholic beverages.

At 12:00 p.m., a student was transported to the San Jose main jail and booked on an outstanding warrant from Santa Clara County.

At 7:23 p.m. at Bowdoin and Campus Drive, a non-injury, vehicle-vs.-bike collision occurred.

Between 9:30 p.m. on May 5 and 1:30 a.m. on May 6, an unknown suspected entered an unlocked dorm room in Sigma Chi and stole two laptop computers.
