Prosecutors allege Adam Wheeler, who was expelled from Harvard and is facing charges of identity fraud and larceny, applied and was accepted to Stanford for the 2010-11 school year, the AP reported.
The Delaware man, 23, allegedly used fake documents to get into Harvard and secure financial aid. He was expelled in October.
The prosecutors’ claims were in documents filed today in Middlesex Superior Court ahead of a pretrial conference.
The Huffington Post reported that, according to prosecutors, Dean of Admission Richard Shaw told a detective Wheeler was accepted as a transfer student and that his admission offer has since been rescinded.
