As the Class of 2010 took the Wacky Walk into Stanford’s 119th Commencement today, we at The Daily commenced another tradition: summer.
It started with our Commencement issue — 36 pages of the best of the year at Stanford, as chronicled in our pages since September — on newsstands now. From the divestment debate that drew students from all walks of campus to the history of the canceled Full Moon on the Quad, from men’s volleyball NCAA championship to one of Yanran’s most memorable columns, it’s got a lot. The issue also features reflections from four graduating seniors on The Daily staff, whose names you may have come to recognize and whom we’ll sure miss: Emma Trotter, Jack Salisbury, Eric Messinger and Masaru Oka. Grab a copy of the Commencement issue before you leave campus.
What comes next? A change of pace.
Starting Thursday, July 1, we bring you the first installment of Vol. 238: The Stanford Weekly. On Thursdays through Aug. 12 you’ll find your favorite sections, produced by the Daily’s summer staff and a great crew of high school interns, on newsstands and online. (Interested in contributing?
