Stanford junior guard Jeremy Green collapsed after the Cardinal’s 81-74 overtime win against DePaul on Sunday at the 76 Classic. He received medical attention before being taken away for further observation.
Green was seen lying on the floor away from the court with apparent breathing difficulties. Stanford coaches and paramedics huddled around the team’s leading scorer before he was taken out of the Anaheim Convention Center. Brian Risso, the media relations spokesperson for the men’s basketball squad, had no further information regarding Green’s condition.
Green’s 19 points led all scorers in Sunday’s matchup, which concluded the three-game tournament.
