Jacob Boehm ’11, a student whose alleged disappearance sparked a Facebook and an email chatlist campaign to find him, has been found in a Malaysian park, according to his mother.
Boehm was traveling through Asia this summer, and had been reported missing in Malaysia after being out of online and phone contact with his family since Aug. 14. His parents had filed missing persons reports with the American and German embassies in Kuala Lumpur, as he is a dual citizen.
Boehm’s mother, Nancy Luberoff, said that he traveled to Japan in June with the Stanford Chamber Chorale and then flew to Thailand when the group returned home. Until his family lost contact with him, Boehm traveled around Southeast Asia and arrived in Malaysia in early August.
