Kappa Sigma residents temporarily displaced

Nov. 14, 2012, 12:00 a.m.

Fourteen Kappa Sigma residents have been displaced from their rooms for one week while carpeting is removed to check for possible mold.

A student accidentally set off a sprinkler and flooded a room and the bottom hallway around 8 p.m. on Monday night, causing the six other rooms in the bottom hallway to be evacuated as well.

Residential and Dining Enterprises provided storage pods for the displaced students’ belongings Tuesday morning and offered temporary housing in other dormitories and other rooms within the house.

Malcolm McGregor ‘13, president of Kappa Sigma said Residential and Dining Enterprises has been very responsive to the situation.
