Police Blotter: October 23-28

This report covers a selection of incidents from Oct. 23 to Oct. 28 as recorded in the Stanford Department of Public Safety bulletin.

 

Wednesday, Oct. 23 

An individual was cited and released for misusing a disabled placard near Parking Structure 6 between 9 a.m. and 9:10 a.m.

A computer, cell phone and other items were stolen at 270 Galvez Street and Campus Drive between 9:45 a.m. and 6:05 p.m.

An unattended iPhone was stolen at the Angell Field north bleachers between 12:45 p.m. and 2 p.m.

An individual in a car collided with a fixed object at Campus Drive West and Searsville at 4:54 p.m. No one was hurt.

An individual was cited and released for misusing a disabled placard at 6 p.m. at 400 Palm Drive.

A U-locked bike was stolen from the bike rack outside of the Arrillaga Family Sports Center between 6:15 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 25

An individual was cited and released for creating a public nuisance by urinating in public at Tresidder Memorial Union at 1:25 a.m.

An individual was assaulted (foot to testicles) over a joke that got out of hand at Okada in Wilbur Hall between 1:30 a.m. and 1:45 a.m. The assaulted individual declined to press charges.

An individual was cited and released for misusing a disabled placard around Parking Structure 5 between 8:00 a.m. and 8:20 a.m.

An individual was cited and released for misusing a disabled placard at Campus Drive at Roth Way between 2:25 p.m. and 2:35 p.m.

A cable-locked bike was stolen from the bike rack located outside of the main entrance of the Avery Aquatic Center between 6:20 p.m. and 7:20 p.m.

An individual was cited and released for being a minor in possession of alcohol at Galvez Mall and Bowdoin Mall at 10:50 p.m.

An individual was cited and released for being a minor in possession of alcohol at Bowdoin Lane and Arguello Way at 11:40 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 26

A bike was found at the Intersection of Campus Drive and Cowell Lane near an emergency tower at 12:30 a.m. The Stanford University Department of Public Safety took the bike for safekeeping.

An individual was cited and released for being a minor in possession of alcohol at the Kappa Sigma House at 12:30 a.m.

An individual was arrested and transported to the San Jose Main Jail for public intoxication and for providing a false ID to a peace officer at 1:10 AM. The arrest occurred at the intersection of Campus Drive and O’Connor Lane.

An individual was arrested and transported to the San Jose Main Jail for public intoxication at Galvez Street at 11:30 p.m.

A laptop was stolen from an unattended backpack at Coupa Café between 4:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 27

An individual was injured when their bike ran into a fixed object in White Plaza at 2:06 AM.

A purse was stolen from a car at Stanford Avenue and Raimundo Way between 7:45 and 9:05 p.m. Unknown suspect or suspects smashed the passenger side window of the victim’s car.

Monday, Oct. 28

An individual was cited and released for misusing a disabled placard on Oak Road at 6:10 a.m.

An individual was injured when their bike ran into a fixed object at the Arguello Mall East-Extension at Escondido Road at 12:15 p.m.
