The seventh annual Treasure Island Music Festival featured headliners Atoms for Peace and Beck and artists like Little Dragon, Fantogram and Disclosure. The festival’s dramatic setting on the San Francisco Bay and skyline was the perfect backdrop for daytime activities like a jamming at the silent disco, interacting with numerous art installations and browsing the offerings of funky Bay Area craft and art vendors. As the sun set on day one, Major Lazer and Disclosure got the crowd movin’ and shakin’ into the nighttime. After-dark art installations glowed and pulsed with the crowd’s energy as Little Dragon took the stage. Treasure Island Music Festival, called a “beautiful hipster playground” by a festival-goer, captures for a few days the essence of what it is to be young in San Francisco.
