How to get a head start on the 2016 elections.

Feb. 17, 2015, 8:44 p.m.

With Obama on campus last Friday, students are thinking about the White House more than usual. Not this white house, but, you know, the actual one where Malia and Sasha live. That leads to the question of who will be taking Obama’s spot in 2016. Here at the Lomita, we believe in making well-researched political decisions. So, before casting your vote, be sure to check out the following educational sites to get a head start learning about the upcoming election:

  • http://www.jebbushforpresident.com/ In 2008, CJ and Charlie, a proactive gay couple from Texas, got the rights to this web domain. They use the site to educate and share their stories. And probably maybe to make republicans mad.
  • http://jebbushforpresident.net is also not run by Jeb Bush.
  • Jon Stewart, after announcing that he is leaving the Daily show before the 2016 election, has inspired loyal fans to support Jon Stewart 2016 as a viable presidential candidate.
  • The Onion started thinking about this issue early.
  • Kid President is still at it, with a new book new book just released. Currently in middle school, it could be a few years before he actually hits the white house. But as an inspirational speaker, activist, and now published author, Kid President is doing a lot better than I was in middle school.

Vote early and often.
