Band Run is a Stanford tradition in which the Leland Stanford Junior University Marching Band picks up freshmen and staff from dorms across campus, running from dorm to dorm. They stop to play music and dance at each pickup location – Stern, Wilbur, White Plaza, FloMo, Lagunita, Roble, and FroSoCo, finally ending in a finale at Main Quad. Band Run took place on Tuesday night, the first night of freshmen staying on campus.
