On Wednesday, the Graduate Student Council held an abbreviated, 20-minute meeting in which they granted funding to various Voluntary Student Organizations (VSOs).  

VSOs present at the meeting included the InterVarsity Graduate Christian Fellowship, Chinese Women’s Collective and Stanford Biosciences Student Association.

Each of these organizations were requesting funds for upcoming student events. The council, which has about $180,000 in funds per year according to funding committee member Melanie Malinas, doled out $4,420 during Wednesday’s meeting.

After council members heard from representatives of these VSOs and granted the funds, the meeting was cut short by the graduate student mental health town hall.
