Cardinal persevere through overtime for draw against Oregon State

Oct. 22, 2018, 2:00 a.m.
No. 12 Stanford men’s soccer (7-2-4, 4-1-1 Pac-12) took Oregon State (7-4-3, 3-2-1) to second overtime this past Thursday, leaving the match tied up at 2-2. The Cardinal sought redemption against the Beavers after the 0-1 loss that took place two games ago on Oct. 11 — the only conference loss the Cardinal have suffered this season. In that first match against Oregon, Beaver forward Gloire Amanda took the game away from Stanford with a goal in the 23rd minute, backed up by an OSU defense that prevented any equalizing shots.
