Police Blotter: Vandalism, vehicle burglary, bike theft

This report covers a selection of incidents from March 2 to March 8 as recorded in the Stanford University Department of Public Safety (SUDPS) bulletin. 

Tuesday, March 2

  • Between 7 p.m. on March 1 and 8 a.m., a bike was stolen from Escondido Village Building 2.
  • Between 10:30 p.m. on March 1 and 7:57 a.m., petty theft occurred at 116 Jenkins Court.
  • Between 10 a.m. on Feb. 26 and 9 a.m., petty theft occurred at Escondido Village Building 50.

Thursday, March 4

  • At 8:30 a.m., petty theft occurred at the Jenkins Residence of Governor’s Corner.
  • At an unknown time, a bike was stolen from Stern Hall.

Friday, March 5

  • Between 7:30 a.m. and 7 p.m., a bike was stolen from Via Ortega Garage.
  • Between 9:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m., burglary of a vehicle occurred at Alpine House.
  • Between 6 p.m. on March 4 and 1 p.m., a bike was stolen from Larkin at Stern Hall.
  • Between 12 p.m. on March 1 and 9 a.m., the Hansen Experimental Physics Laboratory was defaced with paint, a misdemeanor vandalism.
  • Between 6 p.m. on March 4 and 11:45 a.m., a bike was stolen from Escondido Village Building D.
  • Between 4:30 p.m. on March 4 and 7 a.m., a bike was stolen from Mirrielees Highrise.

Monday, March 8

  • Between an unspecified time on March 5 and 7 a.m., 450 Jane Stanford Way was defaced with paint.
