Police Blotter: Battery, vehicle burglary and sexual assault

Tuesday, Dec. 5

  • Grand theft of a backpack and/or wallet between 11 p.m. on Dec. 4 and 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 5 was reported at 735 Campus Drive (EVGR-B). 
  • Petty theft of a bicycle between 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 4 and 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 5 was reported at 757 Campus Drive (EVGR-A).
  • Vandalism between 8 p.m. and 8:05 p.m. was reported at 528 Lasuen Mall (White Plaza).

Wednesday, Dec. 6

  • Sexual assault between 12:01 a.m. on Sept. 26 and 4:24 p.m. on Nov. 16 was reported at 450 Jane Stanford Way (Stanford University). 
  • Battery at 10 p.m. was reported at 742 Campus Drive (Manzanita Garage).
  • Vehicle burglary and vandalism between 5 p.m. on Dec. 5 and 7 a.m. on Dec. 6 was reported at 625 Nelson Road (Varsity Parking Lot). 
  • Identity theft between 11 a.m. on Dec. 5 and 2:51 p.m. on Dec. 6 was reported at 476 Lomita Mall (McCullough Building).
  • Petty theft of an e-scooter between 1 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. on Dec. 6 was reported at 236 Santa Teresa Street (Robinson House). 
  • Petty theft of tools between 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 13 and 6 a.m. on Nov. 27 was reported at 315 Bonair Siding Road (Stanford Grounds Shop).

Bill Larson, SUDPS spokesperson, provided more information on the reported sexual assault stating that a Campus Security Authority (CSA) reported receiving an email from an anonymous female student who reported she was sexually assaulted sometime during fall quarter.

Additionally, Larson wrote that the alleged victim of the battery that occurred in Manzanita Garage reported that they were punched in the face during a verbal argument. There were no witnesses. SUDPS referred the case to the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office for review and consideration of charges

Thursday, Dec. 7

  • Petty theft of a bicycle between 4 p.m. on Nov. 29 and 7 p.m. on Dec. 3 was reported at 291 Campus Drive (Li Ka Shing Center).
  • Petty theft of an e-scooter between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Dec. 5 was reported at 439 Panama Mall (Blume Earthquake Engineering Center).
  • Petty theft of an e-bicycle between 10 p.m. on Dec. 5 and 5 p.m. on Dec. 7 was reported at 685 Escondido Road (Castaño Hall).

Saturday, Dec. 9

  • Petty theft of a bicycle between 10 p.m. on Dec. 8 and 3 p.m. on Dec. 9 was reported at 236 Santa Teresa Street (Schiff House).
  • Petty theft of a bicycle between 9 a.m. on Nov. 19 and 12 p.m. on Nov. 26 was reported at 566 Governors Avenue (Murray House).

Sunday, Dec. 10

  • Petty theft of a bicycle between 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 9 and 10:45 a.m. on Dec. 10 was reported at 750 Campus Drive (Lantana Hall). 
  • A Santa Clara County leash law violation at 9 a.m. on Dec. 9 was reported at 566 Arguello Way (Munger Building 1).
