Stanford football’s junior safety Jimmy Wyrick opted to enter his name into the transfer portal, per Rivals reporting on Monday. The spring transfer portal window officially opens on April 16 and closes on April 30.

After playing in 11 games and tallying six pass deflections in his first season on the Farm, Wyrick has only played in five games the past two seasons.

Wyrick was a three-star and ranked the nation’s No. 642 recruit coming out of high school according to On3’s Industry Rankings. He was also rated the 56th ranked cornerback and the 96th best player to come out of Texas.

Without Wyrick and senior Alakai’i Gilman, the Cardinal will need to rely on sophomore Scotty Edwards and junior Mitch Leigber to improve their play for next season.
