The Stanford women’s golf team made a strong statement in the 2025 Augusta National Women’s Amateur (ANWA) as a total of six current Stanford student-athletes made the final round and two finished in the top five.

Freshman Andrea Revuelta led the way for the Cardinal participants, finishing in a tie for fourth at 8-under-par after a week of strong, consistent play. She posted the low round of the day with a 66 in Round 2 at Champions Retreat, putting herself in strong contention heading into the final round at Augusta National. In that final round, Revuelta recorded seven birdies and just one bogey, showcasing her poise and maturity beyond her years.

Junior Megha Ganne began her week with a bang by breaking the Augusta National Women’s Amateur single round record with a record-setting 65 in the first round. Ganne had nine birdies and appeared to have total control of the day to finish tied for fifth overall. With all the excitement surrounding breaking a record, Ganne also gained national media attention and continued to solidify her place as one of the best players in college golf.

The Cardinal had six active players in the final round at Augusta National Golf Club, the most of any collegiate program. Revuelta and Ganne were joined by sophomore Paula Martin Sampedro, junior Kelly Xu, and freshmen Nora Sundberg Meja Ortengren, demonstrating the depth and global talent at Stanford that head coach Anne Walker has developed.

Among the ANWA field was Stanford alum and former NCAA individual champion Rachel Heck, continuing to be a contributor in amateur golf after graduation.

The results at Augusta may be a good omen for the Cardinal’s future performance this spring postseason. With the ACC championship, NCAA regional and NCAA championship all on deck, Stanford’s showing in Georgia should be a confidence boost for a team looking to make some noise in conference and national play.
