Police Blotter: Grand theft, arson and vandalism

Tuesday, April 15

  • An obscene and threatening telephone call was reported between Aug. 1 and April 14 at an unknown time at 326 Santa Teresa Street (Naranja).
  • Petty theft of a bicycle at 1:00 p.m. on April 12 was reported at 236 Santa Teresa Street (Schiff House).
  • Burglary from a motor vehicle between 10:00 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. was reported at 300 Palm Drive (Stanford Oval).
  • Identity theft at 1:09 p.m. was reported at 233 Bonair Siding Road (Department of Public Safety).
  • Grand theft of an electric bicycle between 1:40 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. was reported at 299 Campus Dr (Sherman Fairchild Science Building).
  • Petty theft of a bicycle between 1:40 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. was reported at 520 Lasuen Mall (Old Union).
  • Grand theft of an electric bicycle between 2:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. was reported at 375 Santa Teresa Street (Roble Gym).
  • Grand theft of a bicycle between 4:00 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. was reported at 520 Lasuen Mall (Old Union).

Wednesday, April 16

  • Fictitious check with intent to defraud at 9:00 a.m. on April 15 was reported at 565 Mayfield Ave (Hillel-Ziff Center).
  • Arson of an inhabited structure or property at 10:16 a.m. was reported at 35 Angell Court (Escondido Village 1, Building 35).
  • Burglary from a motor vehicle between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. was reported at 295 Galvez Court (Lot 95 – Track House).
  • Burglary from a motor vehicle between 4:47 p.m. and 5:38 p.m. on April 14 was reported at 420 Museum Way (Museum Way – Lot 3).

The Daily has reached out to SUDPS for more information regarding arson of an inhabited structure in Escondido Village and the fictitious check with intent to defraud at the Hillel-Ziff Center. 

Thursday, April 17

  • Grand theft of an electric bicycle between 7:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on April 16 was reported at 641 Campus Drive (Arrillaga Family Sports Center).
  • Petty theft between 4:00 p.m. on April 16 and 10:00 a.m. on April 17 was reported at 730 Serra Street (Hoskins Midrise).
  • Arrest for vandalism at 1:25 p.m. on April 17 was reported at 662 Mirada Avenue.

Friday, April 18

  • Burglary from a motor vehicle between 8:00 p.m. on April 17 and 1:50 p.m. on April 18 was reported at 326 Santa Teresa Street (Norcliffe Hall).
  • Attempted theft by use of access card information through impersonation between 12:40 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. was reported at 337 Campus Drive (Lokey Stem Cell Research Building).
  • Petty theft between 6:00 p.m. on April 16 and 6:00 a.m. on April 17 was reported at 625 Nelson Road (Stanford Stadium).
  • Petty theft between 6:00 p.m. on April 17 and 8:00 a.m. on April 18 was reported at 673 Nelson Road (Stanford Beach Volleyball Stadium)
  • Burglary from a motor vehicle between 6:00 p.m. and 8:29 p.m. on April 18 was reported at 104 Sam McDonald Road (El Camino Real Grove – Lot 2).
  • Burglary from a motor vehicle between 6:15 p.m. and 9:50 p.m. on April 18 was reported at 104 Sam McDonald Road (El Camino Real Grove – Lot 2).
  • Entrance into a noncommercial dwelling between 10:35 p.m. and 10:50 p.m. was reported at 1035 Campus Drive (Kappa Sigma).
  • Grand theft of money, labor or property on April 18 at an unknown time was reported at 680 Jane Stanford Way (Schwab Residential Center).

Saturday, April 19

  • Burglary from a motor vehicle between 11:35 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. was reported at 300 Lomita Drive (Hundred Block).
  • Petty theft of a bicycle was reported at 7:30 p.m. at 550 Jane Stanford Way (Hoover Tower).

Sunday, April 20

  • Petty theft from a building was reported between 1:13 p.m. and 1:23 p.m. on April 19 at 1035 Campus Drive (Kappa Sigma).
  • Petty theft of an electric scooter between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. was reported at 389 Jane Stanford Way (Computing and Data Science Building).
  • Grand theft of a bicycle was reported between 6:30 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. at 355 Roth Way (McMurtry Building).

Monday, April 21

  • Petty theft of a bicycle at an unknown time was reported at an unknown location.
  • Attempted burglary from a motor vehicle at an unknown time was reported at an unknown location.
  • Grand theft of money, labor or property between April 19 at an unknown time and April 20 at 10:30 a.m. was reported at 459 Lagunita Drive (Treehouse).
