Poem: The callous way of things

Oct. 21, 2025, 7:46 p.m.

A market so divine

Supply and demand align

In service of the malign

The suit-and-tie swine

Your work, all that you’ll be

Childbirth, no GDP

Crushing good policy

Causing much poverty

Wage theft, somehow it’s fine

Strong labor, out of line

Crushing unions, systemic design

Wall Street shall never decline

Rigging government, just the game

Weakened regulators, such a shame

Red or Blue, a lot’s the same

A plutocracy it became

Resources, more and more

Finding oil, making war

‘Round the world, pollution galore

Indigenous rights no more

Racism, sexism — domination

An intersectional operation

It justifies colonization,

And sexual exploitation

Stereotypes, not a surprise

Sexual in Man’s eyes

Prison labor, color applies

For their bodies, a capitalist prize

Cause problems, wealth grows

Just suffer, how it goes

Critical government, let’s depose

True intent always shows
