Week 8: Stanford in the NFL

Oct. 28, 2025, 5:39 p.m.

With several teams on bye, Week 8 saw a quieter slate for Stanford alumni across the league. However, that didn’t stop a handful of former Cardinal players from making meaningful contributions on both sides of the ball.

Standout performances

Curtis Robinson ’20 (LB, San Francisco 49ers) — Robinson continued to make an impact for the 49ers’ defense, finishing with seven total tackles (three solo, four assist) in a 15–26 loss to Houston. His consistency in the middle of the field remains a bright spot for San Francisco’s defense.

Justin Reid ’19 (S, New Orleans Saints) — Reid was once again a force in the secondary, recording seven tackles (four solo, three assist) and notching half a sack in a 3–23 loss to Tampa Bay.

Bobby Okereke ’18 (LB, New York Giants) — Okereke was everywhere for New York, totaling eight tackles (seven solo, one assist) in the Giants’ 20–38 loss to Philadelphia. His fellow Cardinal teammate Paulson Adebo ’23 (CB) added seven more tackles (five solo, two assist) in the same game, anchoring the Giants’ defense despite the loss.

Other notable contributions

Austin Hooper ’17 (TE, New England Patriots) — Caught both of his targets for 38 yards in New England’s 32–13 win over Cleveland.

Elic Ayomanor 26 (WR, Tennessee Titans) — Led his team with eight targets, catching four passes for 52 yards in a 14–38 loss to Indianapolis.

Kendall Williamson 23 (DB, Los Angeles Chargers) — Recorded two solo tackles in a 37–10 win over Minnesota.

Tucker Fisk 21 (TE, Los Angeles Chargers) — Logged one target in the Chargers’ win.

Foster Sarell 21 (OL, Los Angeles Chargers) — Contributed up front in the same game as Fisk as the Chargers’ offense rolled to 37 points.

Drew Dalmen 20 (OL, Chicago Bears) — Started at center in a 16–30 loss to Baltimore.

Andrus Peat 16 (OL, Pittsburgh Steelers) — Started on the offensive line in a 25–35 loss to Green Bay.

Ethan Bonner 23 (DB, Miami Dolphins) — Tallied three assisted tackles in Miami’s 34–10 win over Atlanta.

Jake Bailey 19 (P, Miami Dolphins) — Averaged 49.2 yards per punt with a long of 52 and one inside the 20 in the same game.

Christian McCaffrey 18 (RB, San Francisco 49ers) — Totaled 68 yards from scrimmage (25 rushing, 43 receiving) in a 15–26 loss to Houston.

Zach Ertz 13 (TE, Washington Commanders) — Ertz caught four passes on six targets for 16 yards in a 7-28 loss to Kansas City.

By the Numbers

By the numbers

Stanford alumni totaled over 350 offensive yards, 54 total tackles and 1.5 sacks in Week 8. Despite multiple bye weeks for key contributors like Joshua Karty, Colby Parkinson, Walker Little, Thomas Booker IV, Kyu Blu Kelly, Elijah Higgins and Michael Wilson, the Cardinal still made their presence felt — led by strong defensive outings from Robinson, Okereke and Reid.

Come back next week to see how your former Cardinal are doing in the NFL.
