Week 12: Stanford in the NFL

Week 12 revealed another strong slate of performances from Cardinal alumni across the league, including another triple-digit receiving day from Michael Wilson and a disruptive, all-around defensive outing from Justin Reid. Across teams, the Cardinal continued to make their presence felt, especially after their alma mater secured a convincing 31-10 win at Big Game in the midst of Week 12 action.

Standout performances

Michael Wilson ’22 M.A. 22 (WR, Arizona Cardinals) — Wilson continued his breakout season with 10 receptions on 15 targets for 118 yards in Arizona’s 24–27 overtime loss to Jacksonville. The performance followed his dominant showing last week, where he marked the highest single-game receiving total by any NFL player this season.

Justin Reid 18 (S, New Orleans Saints) — Reid put together an all-around showcase with seven total tackles (three solo, four assist), a pick-six and a pass defended in New Orleans’ 10–24 loss to Atlanta. His interception return for a touchdown accounted for the Saints’ only touchdown score of the game.

Harrison Phillips 18 (NYJ) — Phillips continued to show his growth and performance as a player, accounting for six total tackles (one solo, five assist) and a pass defended in the Jets’ 14–27 loss to New England.

Bobby Okereke 18 (NYG) — Okereke was an integral part of the Giants’ defense and registered eight total tackles (six solo, two assist) in a 27–34 loss to Detroit.

Christian McCaffrey 18 (RB, San Francisco 49ers) — McCaffrey delivered another solid performance on Monday Night Football in a win against Carolina where he rushed for 89 yards, had a rushing touchdown and totaled 53 receiving yards. Despite fumbling the ball once in the contest, McCaffrey continued to demonstrate his importance in the 49ers offense.

Notable contributions

Solomon Thomas 18 (DAL) – Recorded two assisted tackles in Dallas’ 24–21 win over Philadelphia.

Davis Mills 22 (HOU) – Completed 16 of 30 passes for 153 yards and two touchdowns in Houston’s 23-19 win over Buffalo.

Dalton Schultz 18 (HOU) – Added six receptions for 51 yards in the same game.

Colby Parkinson 19 (LAR) – Turned in a perfect 4-for-4 receiving day for 41 yards and a touchdown in the Rams’ 34–7 win over Tampa Bay.

Thomas Booker IV 22 (LV) – Posted two assisted tackles in the Raiders’ 10–24 loss to Cleveland.

Kyu Blu Kelly 23 (LV) – Tallied one solo tackle in the same game.

Austin Hooper 17 (NE) – Recorded three receptions for 39 yards in New England’s 26–20 win over Cincinnati.

Andrus Peat 14 (PIT) – Contributed on the offensive line in Pittsburgh’s 28–31 loss to Chicago.

Walker Little 21 (JAX) – Helped anchor the offensive line in Jacksonville’s 27–24 OT win over Arizona.

Drew Dalmen 20 (CHI) – Contributed on the offensive line in Chicago’s 31–28 win over Pittsburgh.

Curtis Robinson 20 (LB, San Francisco 49ers) – Three tackles (one solo, two assist) in a 49ers’ 20-9 win over Carolina.

By the numbers

Through Sunday of Week 12, Stanford alumni combined for over 300 receiving yards and more than 40 total tackles across the league. Michael Wilson had another top receiving performance this season, while Justin Reid delivered a defensive touchdown to highlight another impactful week for Cardinal defenders. Week 12 was one of the more productive slates of the year.
