This report covers a selection of incidents from Nov. 3 to Nov. 9, as recorded in the Stanford Department of Public Safety Bulletin.

Thursday, Nov. 3

At 9 p.m. the reporting party received a suspicious package at her residence at 713 Mayfield Ave.

In an incident that occurred between Oct. 30 and Oct. 31, a chain locked bike was stolen from the bike racks in front of Toyon Hall.

Friday, Nov. 4

Between 5 p.m. Nov. 3, and 6:30 a.m. Nov. 4,  a chain-locked bike was stolen from the bike rack outside of the Auxiliary Library at 691 Pampas Ln.

Between 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., a suspect was spotted at Herrin Hall riding the victim’s bike and tampering with another bike. When confronted, the suspect fled the scene, leaving the victim’s bike behind.

Between 2:15 p.m. and 6:15 p.m., unknown suspects shattered the left rear passenger window of a vehicle parked in Parking Structure 5 and stole a backpack from the rear seat.

Between 6 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., unknown suspects vandalized a vehicle at 680 Lomita by using a sharp object to damage the paint, deflating a tire and removing the mirror portions of the side mirrors.

Friday, Nov. 5

At 12:00 p.m., the Department of Public Safety discovered a possible unreported sexual assault which occurred sometime on Nov. 1 at an unknown location in one of the Row house dormitories.

At 12:20 a.m. a suspect was arrested in the Main Quad, transported to San Jose Main Jail and booked for public intoxication and criminal threats.

A person at Arrillaga Alumni Center reported that someone sent a suspicious letter to a professor in response to an alumni solicitation for donations. Suddenly, working a job in fundraising and development seems less appealing.

Saturday, Nov. 6

Between 11:00 p.m. Nov. 5, and 1:00 a.m. Nov. 6, an unlocked bike was stolen from the front of 132 Running Farm Ln.

Between 5:22 p.m. and 5:40 p.m., two people were involved in a dispute at Stanford Stadium. Neither party requested a citizen’s arrest, eventually replacing their anger with the joy of Cardinal victory.

At 7:14 p.m., a stolen vehicle was recovered at Theta Delta Chi. Authorities also reportedly found a flannel shirt in the back seat, closing the case.

At 11:03 p.m., an unknown male called in a possible rape under the influence of drugs in the room next to him. The call originated from Cedro in Wilbur Hall and was thought to be a hoax.

Monday, Nov. 8

Between 4 p.m. Nov. 7, and 9 a.m. Nov 8, an unlocked bike was stolen from the bike racks outside of Terra. Lock, n. a mechanism for keeping a door, lid, etc., fastened, typically operated only by a key of a particular form. Try one today!

Between 12:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., unknown suspects entered a first floor dorm room at Alondra and stole an unlocked bike.

Tuesday, Nov. 9

At 9:17 a.m., construction workers accidentally hit a gas line while digging a hole. PG&E arrived to crimp off the line and begin repair.

Between 3:40 p.m. and 3:55 p.m., unknown suspects entered an unlocked room in Loro and stole a laptop and a cell phone.
