Several Stanford teams took the field, court and pool over the weekend to start or continue conference play. Here’s a summary of the weekend’s festivities brought to you by The Daily’s sportswriters. Click on each hyperlink to be directed to the recap of the game.

  • On Saturday No. 18 football crushed Arizona 55-17 in another impressive performance by the offense.
  • No. 3 men’s soccer took on rival Cal on Sunday, winning its first conference game and its eighth game in a row.
  • No. 5 women’s soccer earned two more wins against Pac-12 teams, one shutout victory against Arizona State and the other an overtime win against No. 17 Arizona
  • No. 8 women’s volleyball fell to Arizona State in four sets on Friday, its fourth loss of the season. Senior Brittany Howard did, however, record her 1,000 career kill in the match.
  • No. 10 field hockey notched its first win against an America East opponent at UC Davis on Friday.
  • After beating the Trojans earlier this season, No. 2 men’s water polo lost in overtime to USC on Saturday to start MPSF play.
