The following policies apply to the comment section at the bottom of each post on The Stanford Daily’s website. Please reach out to [email protected] with any questions or concerns.

Comments including excessive profanity or cursing will be removed from The Daily’s website. This policy also covers attempts to curse via special characters, spacing or other methods.

The Daily does not tolerate personal attacks nor discrimination in its comment section. Please do not hesitate to criticize an opinion in an article with which you do not agree. But do not resort to irrelevant criticisms, name-calling or threats. Such comments will be deleted.

We will also delete comments that infringe upon or violate anybody’s copyrights, trademarks or other intellectual property rights.

Advertising a good or service in The Daily’s comment section is prohibited. Pasting a url in the comment section is acceptable only if the url is cited as a reputable source in an accompanying comment.

Violating any of the above policies will result in comment removal and may result in a suspension or ban from The Daily’s comment section.
