Every year, the city of Davis, Calif. conducts a week-long camp for kindergarteners who live with their migrant worker families. Often on six-month Visas that allow them to work in the fields, parents are unable to watch their children during the day. The city steps in by providing the schools, daycares and facilities that keep kids safe. I chose to photograph the migrant camp because it represented hope for me, like a flower in a drought.
