Oct. 31, 2013, 9:34 p.m.

No. 7 Stanford women’s soccer (13-3-1, 6-3-0 Pac-12) held off Washington (7-7-4, 3-2-4) in Seattle 1-0 on Thursday night, benefiting from junior Lo’eau LaBonta’s fourth goal of the season and six saves by goalie Jane Campbell.

LaBonta’s 44th-minute tally was all the Cardinal needed for its third 1-0 win of 2013. The Cardinal now travels to Washington State for an 11 a.m. Sunday showdown as it looks to improve its seeding in the upcoming NCAA Tournament.
