Women’s golf heads to Hawaii for Pac-12 Preview

Nov. 4, 2019, 1:40 a.m.

Top-ranked women’s golf will take its final swings and close out the fall schedule at the Pac-12 Preview from Monday to Wednesday. The Cardinal are traveling to Kailua Kona, Hawaii for the three-day tournament at the Nanea Golf Club.

Following their second place finish at the Stanford Intercollegiate a few weeks ago, the Cardinal currently sit at the top of the NCAA rankings. This tournament will provide another opportunity for the team to create more distance in the national scene.

The three-day lineup will showcase the likes of freshman Angelina Ye, sophomore Aline Krauter, junior Mika Liu, sophomore Calista Reyes and Stanford’s only featured senior: Ziyi Wang.

Ye won her first career victory last time she was on the green, and she’ll be looking for another breakout performance in Hawaii. She shot a 5-under 66 to win the 2019 Stanford Intercollegiate. The club will tee off against conference foes including, No.2 Arizona State and No. 5 USC and their star golfer Jennifer Chang.
