Stanford women’s golf club finished the fall schedule in a tie for fifth-place (+4, 294-291-295=880) at the Nanea Pac-12 Preview in Hawaii. This three-day tournament saw the Cardinal climb as high as fourth-place overall behind sophomore Aline Krauter and freshman Angelina Ye’s performances.
The Cardinal will take their final swings and close out the Fall schedule at the Pac-12 Preview from Monday to Wednesday. The women’s golf team will travel to Kailua Kona, Hawaii for the three-day tournament at the Nanea Golf Club.
This past weekend, the Cardinal’s fall season title defense and championship continued with a ninth-place finish at The Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Invitational.
After back-to-back victories against Oregon State and Washington, Stanford football (3-3, 2-2 Pac-12) looks to extend its streak with a home game against UCLA (1-5, 1-2 Pac-12) under the Thursday night lights. The Cardinal have a chance to claim a winning record for the first time since the second week of the season with a matchup against the team with the conference's worst record.
As expected, the “Big Match” between rivals Stanford and California proved to be as eventful as it was last year. In yet another down-to-the-wire golf thriller at Menlo Country Club this Wednesday, Cal found a way to pull off a narrow 3.5-2.5 victory over the Cardinal for the second time in two years.
